Group of Men Steal From and Brutally Beat Asian Pizzeria Owner

Multiple members of the group began simultaneously beating her while she was down.

On February 19th, a group of men was caught by security footage standing outside of Mama Venezia’s Pizzeria in Norristown, Pennsylvania then rushing in and stealing beers from the business, as reported by 6ABC News.

The pizzeria is owned by Ying Ngov, a 56-year-old immigrant from China. After the theft, Ngov recalls chasing the perpetrators and grabbing a neighbor’s snow shovel in order to protect herself given that she was completely outnumbered.

After she approached the group, one of the men is seen in the footage violently pushing Ngov to the ground. Although she quickly got back up, another member of the group punched her in the face, sending her to the ground. After this, multiple members of the group began simultaneously beating her while she was down.

After this, Ngov blacked out.

6ABC News interviewed locals, who all expressed how the 56-year-old Ngov is “the kindest woman.” A neighbor said, “I know people that come here and never have enough money and they always try to accommodate.”

Ultimately, Ngov had this to say to her attackers, “Don’t do bad like that because people work hard every day.”

Although a police report has been filed, police have not yet heard anything regarding the investigation.
