Michelle Yeoh is set to star in the upcoming Disney+ adaptation of Gene Luen Yang’s graphic novel ‘American Born Chinese’.

She’ll star alongside a main cast that includes Daniel Wu, Ben Wang, Yeo Yann Yann, Chin Han, Ke Huy Quan, Jim Liu, and Sydney Taylor. Shang-Chi’s Destin Daniel Cretton will serve as director and executive producer.

According to Deadline, the series focuses on Jin Wang, an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his home life. When he meets a new foreign student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin unwittingly is entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological gods. The action-packed coming-of-age adventure explores identity, culture and family.
