Netflix Revealed That More Than Half of Its Global Audience Watched Anime in the Past Year and Unveiled Its Slate of Upcoming 2022 Titles

In an interview with Variety, Kohei Obara, Netflix’s director of anime creative, revealed that “more than half” of Netflix’s global audience had watched an anime title in the past year. He then shared, “Anime is one of the cornerstones of [Netflix's] investment in Japan.”
At this year’s Anime Japan event, Netflix unveiled a slate of 40 new and returning anime titles set to debut in 2022, including “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean,” “Bubble,” and many others.
