‘Dear Mom’, a touching visual poem created by creative director Steven Yee, captures the thoughts and memories that run through a son’s mind during the Mother-Son dance of his wedding.

In a director’s note, Yee wrote, “I've been wanting to do this project for the past two years and we were set for principal photography in April 2020 until the pandemic shut everything down. I was able to carve out time in between my client work to bring this project to life this year.”

He continued, “My mother doesn't speak English that well, and my Chinese is probably worse, so our conversations are very surface level, and it's difficult to explain to her exactly what my work is. I wanted to use this project to show her everything I haven't been able to express in words over the years."
