Son Heung-min has made history as the first Asian ever to win the English Premier League golden boot.

On earning the award, which is presented annually to the leading goalscorer in the English Premier League, Son described it as a childhood dream come true, saying he “couldn’t believe it.”

This year’s golden boot was shared by Son and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who both scored on the final day of the season to take their totals to 23 goals. Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo finished third with 18 goals in his first season back in the Premier League.
